‘Feel my wrath': Guy hard-resets hotel TV after they try to use parental lock to get him to pay more, sparks thread of other tips and tricks that get around hotel upcharges

There's nothing worse than saving up for vacation and staying in a beautiful place, but then BAM there are all these secret little sneaky upcharges for everything. You'd think since you're spending so freaking much on the hotel you would get treated better, but some places just have dollar signs in their eyes. For example, many hotels and cruise ships will put locks on your TV so you have to pay extra to watch anything worth watching. This is what happened to one guy who spent a pretty penny at a nice individually-owned hotel. He went to his room and the TV was blocked using parental controls. He tried to finagle it to work in his favor, but ultimately just reset the entire TV. He went in to add his own parental controls that spelled out a petty comeback that was absolutely *chef's kiss*. Plus, it sparked a thread where others are sharing their tips and tricks to get around that kind of hotel up-charging as well. Check it out below!
